High School Musical 3 - The Movie
The basketball scene, so funny.. where the basketball players can sing and bounce and slam dunk at the same time... Imagine Yaoming singing Jay Chou rap will playing basketball... Haha.. All the dance movement are very well choreograph.. except for the finale part where every one wearing the graduation robe and dancing to their own free style on the field.. it was super messy..

Disclosure of Full Prices in Advertisements
But travel agencies and airline have our own concern.. Fuel surcharge are always subject to fluctuation.. Hotels will have their room surcharge and Gala Dinner for peak period. Airline also have their own different booking class with different fare. How about budget airlines, their fare is rates at its flight demand. To disclose all these in the ads.. I think it will be a very long list..
For example..
3D2N Hong Kong Free & Easy.
$340 + $200 (Airport Tax, Fuel Surcharge, Insurance & Administrative Fees)
Hotel: Dorsett Seaview
Airline: Cathay Pacific
Booking Class: 'S'
Travel Period: 1/11/08 - 14/11/08, 20/11/08 - 17/12/08, 26/12/08 - 29/12/08.
Room Surcharge: 24/12/08 at $50 / room / night, 31/12/08 at $100 / room / night
See just only one Hong Kong ads, you can see the number of words is so much.. then how about those dates in valid during the travel period??.. and considering the cost per row and column.. Then so many packages to advertise.. High cost!!!
How could the price and the wordy advertisement attract attention?? All our selling prices are file into 3 huge 3inch ring files.. with so many countries and products.. We are not like some business who only sell a few products or services.. Our range of fare varies a lot.. from low season to peak season, and peak season does not mean Singapore school holiday peak season.. it is also include overseas perk seasons... and different hotel have different seasonal rates and surcharge.. How could we advertise an attractive price??

Budget Airline's Marketing...
Then on the other hand Tiger Airways Ads was showing their 1 cents fare per way to Bangkok.. Which was the talking point among everyone... And to add in the tax it is still cheaper then Jetstar.com... Thus Tiger Airways ads was a success...
So to compare both budget airlines.. Tiger Airways is truly a budget airline because the way it advertise their low low fare.. But if you were to really calculate.. Jetstar.com might have the value-for-money fare.. Where at Tiger Airways you only pays what you require (That is the true Budget Airline mode of operation, no frills). See comparison below... (fare are subject to change)
Jetstar.com - Bangkok Return Fare:
S$180(wz all taxes & surcharge) + Booking fee of S$20 = S$190
- 20 KG Check-in Baggage allowance
- Hand carry baggage 7kg
- Check in at Terminal 1
Tiger Airways - Bangkok Return Fare:
S$0.02 + Taxes S$160 + 15kg Luggage (2 sectors) S$20 + Booking Fee S$8 = S$188.02
- 15 KG Check-in Baggage allowance (for 20kg baggage allowance is charge at S$20 / sector)
- Hand carry baggage 7kg
- Check in at Budget Airport

Daughter's Fortune....
My daughter future is a disastrous.. and her name is not suitable for her also, according to the fortune teller... Her pass life is an officer during the Han Dynasty.. He is talented but arrogant and lives in his own world.. Because of his arrogant nature, he is not a popular officer and was being expelled from his post.. and he could not come to term of his expel despite his great talent. He was a bankruptcy before he pass away... After he pass away his children all go their own way..
Thus my daughter current life is not so good.. She will learn things half way.. she is friendly and have many friends, but they are all not sincere.. She is helpful to other but will be unappreciated and at times being sabotage by those she help.. She easily falls into wrong company.. She will flirt around and her husband will not love her much... Her children will die... And she will end with a disastrous dead.. (After reading her fortune.. i got goose bum.. ) How could a lovely child end up is such a tragic when she grow up...
My wife suggest to change her name.. which i would agreed on.. But I'm a Buddhist and i don't believe in fortune telling.. i always believe in Karma.. What you reap in your current life is the cause and effect of your pass life.. If my daughter were to accumulate good credits in her current life, her Karma could change.. This what i believe in... I told my wife to enroll her for the Buddhist classes during the weekend... We will encourage her to do more charity and good deeds.. and also will bring her out to do volunteer job... I believe that should be the right Buddhist way to reduce her bad Karma. And not paying a huge amount to the fortune teller to change her life..

Dinner at New York New York....
First we ordered the Cheese Fondue... It come with fried vegetable, like Mushrooms and Aubergine... The crunchy fried vegetables does not go well with the melting cheese.. They should have used toast bread instead...
Next for the main course. My mom ordered Prime Ribs.. The serving is big.. and it is the best dish we tasted that evening.. the ribs are tender and the BBQ sauce are nice... It goes well with the serving of wedges...
My dad ordered whole grilled chicken.. The chicken meat is a bit tough and dry.. dress with brown sauce and served with wedges.. (My dad can't finish it... )
Me and my wife ordered a Meat Combo, comes with 2 half grilled chickens, 4 grilled spare ribs, crispy chicken chops, serves with 2 corn comb, coslaw, bake bean and some wedges.. Terrible meal.. everything is not tasty at all...
The serving is all very large.. The waitress was asking us if we are sure to order the whole grill chicken? And we said yes.. then when the food come we had a big surprise.. the portion are so huge... we can't even finish all the food and got to take away 4 quarters of grilled chicken.. Actually for the huge serving and the reasonable pricing.. it is value of money, but the food quality is disappointing..
But came the consolation when the manager of the restaurant brings out a cake with lighted candle together with his staffs.. sings a happy birthday song for my child... We are so delighted of their service that my dad give them some tippings.. on top of the service charge...

Morning cycle at Punggol
At one of the junction, i discovered "Fo Guang Shan" Singapore Branch Temple... made a U-Turn and head into "Fo Guang Shan".. park my bicycle outside the temple and went in to pray.. (I did not pics of the temple with my mobile phone).. The temple was beautiful.. outside there are statues of little monks surrounding the fence.. and the "Happy Buddha" (Maitreya Buddha) sitting comfortably at the entrance of the temple greeting me with a big smile.. the main hall was specious with high ceiling.. In the middle sit a big Buddha statue with a very compassionate face.. and many Bodhisattva's statues on the upper half of the high wall.. There is calm and peace when u enter the hall... I did my prayer look around and left the temple..
Continuing my cycling... decide to further explore the empty stretch of road.. then i saw some stray dogs.. and they saw me.. we stare at each other.. then i made a U-turn and turn away and so are the dogs... Haha...

Daughter Birthday Celebration..
MRT BreAKdOwn in Buangkok Station..
Lucky for me.. i bum into my god-sister at Dhoby Ghaut and got someone to chat with.. Once out of the MRT train, one old lady ask me.. "what is happening?".. and i explain to her that this train has breakdown..
Once the MRT is cleared of all passengers, the train door close and leave the station. And then to my surprise that old lady ask me.. "The train breakdown, then why the door still can close and the train still can move??".. I was like being choke by her remark.. She is not wrong either.. If the train were to breakdown.. It shouldn't be functioning at all... Hahaha..
Me and my god-sister decide to leave the station by walking towards the nearest LRT station, Ranggung Station instead of the free shuttle bus arrange by SMRT..

Hotel Room Types..
Room Categories:
STANDARD ROOM - The lowest category of the room type with basic furnishing and amenities. Usually the hotel will use this type of room for agent contract rates.
SUPERIOR ROOM - This is subject to interpretation. it's suppose to mean superior to a standard room in both size and furnishing, but it may also refer to room with a better view. For most 5 star hotels, superior is consider the lowest range category.
DELUXE ROOM - The view, location of the room, furnishing, amenities and room size are suppose to be better. In some Caribbean hotels, a deluxe room is a lower category than a superior room (It is always best to check before book)
EXECUTIVE ROOM - (This category is not feature in ST Classified) This category is almost the same is deluxe, but it is cater for businessman. You may find fax machine, Internet connection and most hotel provide daily newspaper.
JUNIOR SUITE - This is typically a larger bedroom with a seating area. Usually comes with a sofa set at the seating area. It may have a divider between the bed and the sitting area, but it is not two separate room.
SUITE - Usually two or more clearly defined rooms, often a bedroom and a living room with a door between them. Some hotel use the word "Suite" to define any room with a sofa in it, without having two or more separate rooms (eg. Macau's Venetian Hotel), so check to make sure which is it.

Singapore F1 Review.. Post F1 Fever....
Anyway back to the review..
Base on this year Walk-about ticket holder experience.. Most of the walk-about raise platform does not have Big TV screen and thus spectator does not know the results and action on other corners.. Spectator have to rent the Kangaroo TV (a portable hand held TV), to watch the live telecast of the race which cos about S$100++ per day.. Next year i will share cost with my friend to rent a set of Kangaroo TV or i will bring my own portable TV, if it is live telecast from Channel 5...
